The MagnaClean® filter has been developed by independent heating engineer Chris Adey, from his own experience of powerflushing in the field.

It has taken the majority of installers many years to realise the benefits and full potential that powerflushing can bring to old, dirty heating systems. The procedure, if carried out professionally, is extremely effective. Powerflushing is without any doubt BEST PRACTICE when cleaning up old systems. Unlike other flushing methods, powerflushing has the ability to restore circulation (in 98% of cases), improve system efficiency and to restore sanity to frustrated homeowners who, in many cases, have put up with their poorly performing heating system for years!

A powerflush will remove on average over 3Kg of sludge and other deposits from an old heating system. Where the system has had an incorrectly arranged cold feed and vent pipe, or where no inhibitor has ever been added, anything up to 7Kg of dirt may be removed. We once removed over 6Kg of wet sludge from a 7-radiator open-vented system!

Most installers already know that MagnaClean® is a powerful, compact magnetic filter with a unique swirl chamber designed to remove virtually 100% of suspended Iron Oxide and other particulate from the water circulating through the heating system. Unlike typical Y-strainer filters which clog up and experience a dramatic reduction in flow performance, MagnaClean® maintains full flow rates at all times.

MagnaClean® Powerflushiing Filter is the equivalent of 4 of the 'MagnaClean® Professional' household filters fitted in series, and has been designed to remove ALL oxide particles and other debris liberated during the powerflushing process, IN ONE PASS! In other words, what enters the filter system is retained and prevented from re-circulating.

MagnaClean® Powerflushing filter is compatible with all chemicals used in system cleaning, including acids.

PLEASE NOTE: It is impossible to completely 'sand-blast' a heating system back to the metal. To do so would require an acid so powerful it would eat through steel and copper. Not recommended! Adey Ltd recommend that a MagnaClean® Professional household filter be installed with every powerflush job, and with every new boiler installation to provide continual extraction of any particles liberated thereafter. You will appreciate the need for the filter only 5 minutes after its installation, immediately following a powerflush. Do not take our word for it, see the results for yourself!

SERIOUS SOLUTION for a SERIOUS PROBLEM.

An innovative new product for professionals and perfectionists looks set to revolutionise the maintenance of efficiency levels in central heating systems.

The MagnaClean® filter has been developed by independent heating engineer Chris Adey, and is exciting interest amongst boiler manufacturers and service professionals alike.

MagnaClean® is a powerful, compact magnetic filter with a unique swirl chamber designed to remove virtually 100% of suspended Iron Oxide and other particulate from the water circulating through the heating system. Unlike typical Y-strainer filters which clog up and experience a dramatic reduction in flow performance, MagnaClean®® maintains full flow rates at all times, and is so powerful it will retain at least 50X the amount of debris on its easily removed sheath. The incredibly tough ‘Glass fibre reinforced Nylon’ shell is almost unbreakable.
Incorporated into the lid is a special air vent, which allows installers to quickly and easily add corrosion inhibiting chemicals without the need to isolate the filter. Simply unscrew the vent nipple (one-way valve shuts off), connect the chemical adaptor (supplied with all concentrates) and introduce the liquid directly into the heart of MagnaClean®, where it will quickly disperse into the circulating water. Replace the vent. Job done!

Initially available to suit 22mm pipe work, it is planned to introduce a 28mm version of MagnaClean® shortly to suit larger dwellings. A twin 300mm high unit built onto a special plinth is available, that has been specifically designed for installers who Power-Flush systems, to prevent contaminants released during the flushing process from entering the heating boiler.

All MagnaClean® products have been designed primarily for heating systems, but new uses for the filter are being examined. Any liquid contaminated with rust, swarf or other metals attracted to a magnet will benefit from passing through the powerful filter.
